I'm an entrepreneur and investor based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I co-founded the ad-tech company Vungle and sold it to Blackstone in 2019, and these days I'm back in the founder's seat building a new AI startup. Here's what has my attention right now.
Building my next startup
After years focused on investing, I'm building again. My team at Blazel is helping execs publish B2B content on LinkedIn, and we hit $1M ARR in our first seven months. Lately I've been writing honestly about what that actually feels like, from second-guessing what "ARR" really means when customers pay by the quarter, to the pressure of growing fast enough to raise the next round.
Thinking out loud about where AI is going
A lot of my time now goes to making sense of how fast AI is moving. Recently I've written about why startups in the AI application layer aren't as safe as their founders think, why clear writing is becoming one of the most valuable skills in an AI stack, and how I've started coding from my phone with Claude Code in the gaps between meetings.
Founder life with a newborn
Outside of work, the thing keeping me grounded right now is my family. I have a five-month-old daughter and two older kids, and I've been writing candidly about the founder-dad balancing act: running investor calls with a burp cloth over my shoulder, and trying not to repeat the patterns I grew up with.
Want to talk through any of this? You can find me at Blazel or connect with me on LinkedIn.
